The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino is embarking on a nationwide journey to connect with communities that have shaped the American experience. Making History is a traveling initiative designed to raise awareness about the museum's mission, foster connections with local storytellers, and gather support for its development.
$550 weekly stipend
Housing provided in Washington, D.C.
Round-trip travel covered within the U.S. (including Puerto Rico)
Professional development: mentorship, networking, seminars, real-world projects
Open to undergraduate, graduate students, and early-career professionals.
Applicants must be studying in the U.S. and authorized to work there.
International students enrolled in U.S. institutions with work authorization may apply.
Fields include history, anthropology, art, education, digital humanities, cultural studies.
