Opportunity Details
The Toronto Arts Council (TAC) Music Projects Grant provides targeted financial support for non-profit music organisations and collectives delivering impactful, short-term music initiatives in Toronto. The program prioritizes artistic excellence, cultural diversity, accessibility and meaningful public engagement.
Maximum Grant: $15,000
Funding Cap: TAC funds up to 50% of total project costs
Applicants must show additional revenue sources including earned income, donations or other grants
Eligible projects may also apply for:
TAC Accessibility Grant – up to $5,000 for supports such as:
ASL interpretation
Captioning
Attendant care
Communications assistance
Adaptive equipment
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Non-profit music organisations or collectives
Based in the City of Toronto
Led by professional artistic leadership
Demonstrate ongoing artistic practice
Present a project that takes place within Toronto city boundaries
For-profit organisations
Projects occurring outside Toronto
Organisations applying more than once per calendar year
Applicants who have not submitted required final reports for previous TAC-funded projects

Develop a Balanced Budget
Include all expenses, revenue sources and confirm you meet the 50% TAC funding limit.

Prepare bios, support materials, financial information and prior project reports (if applicable).
Submit Through TAC Online Portal
Complete the application form and upload all required documentation.
Await Assessment
TAC uses a peer-review process to evaluate artistic merit, feasibility and community impact.
Submit Final Report (if funded)
Once the project is complete, you must file a final report before applying again.
