About Tsinghua University - Shenzhen FinTech Competition
The 2026 Shenzhen International FinTech Competition (FinTechathon) – International Track, hosted by Tsinghua University’s PBC School of Finance with WeBank, is now open for applications under the theme “AI as a Financial Participant.”
The competition provides a global platform for students to demonstrate their potential, exchange knowledge in AI-driven financial innovations to address real-world financial scenarios, and explore international career opportunities.

- The competition offers a total prize pool of RMB 250,000 for the International Track.
- The first prize winner will receive RMB 100,000.
- The second prize winner will receive RMB 80,000.
- The third prize winner will receive RMB 50,000.
- The Best Innovation Award winner will receive RMB 20,000.
- Several Excellence Awards will also be available.
- There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.

Tsinghua University - Shenzhen FinTech Competition Requirements
- The competition is open to full-time undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students enrolled at overseas universities and research institutions.
- Eligible institutions must be located outside mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Chinese Taipei.
- Teams must consist of 2 to 5 students.
- At least 60% of each team’s members must be non-Chinese nationals.
- Students can collaborate across academic years, majors, universities, and countries, provided all members meet the institutional eligibility requirements.
- Each participant can join only one team across the Domestic and International Tracks. Duplicate registrations are invalid.
- Participants must use English for all submissions, presentations, and competition reviews.
- Teams must select one of the six official competition topics and prepare the required submission materials.
