The TWAS Research Professors in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) programme is a fully funded initiative by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) aimed at strengthening scientific capacity in LDCs.
Benefits of TWAS Research Professors in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) Programme
- Economy class travel (round-trip) and any additional travel expenses incurred by the TWAS Research Professor will be provided by TWAS as well as an honorarium. The host institution will be expected to cover local expenses.

- TWAS Members, Young Affiliates and Alumni
- Minimum degree held: PhD
- Duration: between two and four weeks
