The VocTech Activate fund is a strategic initiative by the Ufi VocTech Trust designed to catalyze the development of digital vocational education and training (VET). By providing a “low-risk” environment for experimentation, the grant helps organizations bridge the gap between a creative concept and a proven, scalable market solution.
Grant Amount: Between £30,000 and £60,000.
Ufi VocTech Trust maintains an inclusive eligibility policy to attract diverse innovators.
Eligible Organizations:
Private companies and SMEs.
Registered charities and not-for-profit organizations.
Community Interest Companies (CICs).
Trade bodies and employer associations.
Learning providers (colleges, universities, or private training centers).
Individual Applicants: Individuals may apply for the grant; however, they must be incorporated as a legal entity (e.g., a limited company) before any funding is disbursed.
Define the Innovation: Identify the specific problem in vocational learning you aim to solve and why your digital approach is unique.
Evidence User Needs: Gather data or testimonials proving you understand the challenges your target learners face.
Draft a Testing Plan: Outline how you will test your prototype with real users in a low-risk setting.
Submit Application: Apply via the Ufi VocTech Trust online portal during an active funding round.
Review and Refine: If successful, work with Ufi mentors to refine the project scope and milestones.
