About UNESCO - AfriMAB GRÓ LRT Fellowship
The AfriMAB GRÓ LRT Fellowship 2027 offers a fully funded six-month training programme in Iceland for professionals from African biosphere reserves engaged in ecosystem restoration. Selected fellows will study at the Agricultural University of Iceland, combining coursework with an individual restoration project, and earn a postgraduate diploma and university credits.

UNESCO - AfriMAB GRÓ LRT Fellowship Requirements
- Hold a prominent role in ecosystem restoration activity within a biosphere reserve
- Hold at least one university degree relevant to GRÓ LRT’s field (e.g., ecology, natural sciences, environmental management)
- At least one year of relevant experience working in a biosphere reserve
- Able to communicate in English (speak, read, write)
- Under the age of 40
- In some cases, extensive working experience may substitute for the education requirement

- Obtain a letter of endorsement from the biosphere reserve where you work
- Obtain a letter of endorsement from the national MAB Focal Point or MAB Committee in your country
- Gather certificates of academic achievement
