About UniSQ PhD Scholarship
UniSQ PhD Scholarship supports international students undertaking or commencing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2027, offering a stipend and tuition coverage aligned to UniSQ research flagships. UniSQ PhD Scholarship applicants should align proposed research with UniSQ flagship areas and discuss this with a potential supervisor.The scholarship is provided by the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) and administered through the UniSQ Graduate Research School. Applicants must complete the Doctor of Philosophy entry process and apply via the UniSQ scholarship portal; further information is available from the Graduate Research School.
Benefits of UniSQ PhD Scholarship
- Stipend of AUD $39,000 per annum.
- Tuition fees for a maximum period of three years full-time equivalent study, paid by UniSQ. Periods of study already undertaken towards the degree will be deducted from the scholarship.
UniSQ PhD Scholarship Requirements
- have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or equivalent level;
- be eligible to be enrolled full-time on-campus in the PhD program at UniSQ;
- be an international student, not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident;
- commence or continue study in 2027.
Application Date and Process
- Prepare digital copies of the Statement of Claim (to be completed by the student and supervisor).
- Provide a curriculum vitae (including research publications and/or presentations).
- Provide a Preliminary Research Thesis Topic Proposal.
- Provide documentation confirming citizenship.
- Provide education qualifications (testamur and academic transcripts for all undergraduate and postgraduate awards).
- If applying for the industry stream, include a Letter of Support completed by the industry partner.
- Submit the application via the UniSQ Scholarship Application Management System by the closing date.
