About Uraia Trust Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Program

The Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership – Kenya (RWVL-K) initiative supports the growth and sustainability of Kenya’s women’s rights movement.The programme is funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Uraia Trust in partnership with CARE, CRAWN Trust, CREAW, and UAF-Africa.Running from 2025 to 2030, the initiative aims to strengthen women’s rights organizations and networks so they can build resilient organizations, improve their programmes, and advocate more effectively for gender equality and women’s rights.

Benefits of Uraia Trust Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Program

Successful applicants can receive:

• Grant amount: KES 3 million to KES 4 million.
• Approximate US dollar value: US$22,800 to US$30,400.

Uraia Trust Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Program Requirements

Proposals are invited from women’s rights organizations and networks in Kenya that fit one of four priority categories:

• Young women and feminist-led organizations in Isiolo County.
• Organizations serving women with disabilities in Laikipia County.
• National organizations advancing women’s political participation and advocacy.
• National organizations serving women with disabilities
