About WHO Health Department Internship
WHO Health Department Internship 2027 provides a funded WHO internship opportunity in Geneva; the WHO Health Scholarship supports students and recent graduates in public health, health data, research and tobacco control during a full-time on-site placement. This WHO Health Scholarship runs from 1 February 2027 to 16 July 2027 and includes financial and insurance benefits.
The internship is offered by the World Health Organization (WHO) at its Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The selected intern will work under a technical expert on the WHO Report on the Global Tobacco Epidemic and contribute to proofreading, data validation, web research, organizing documents, preparing report information and supporting departmental projects.

WHO Health Department Internship Requirements
- Have completed the equivalent of at least three years of full-time university study in a health or data-science-related field before starting the internship.
- Be currently enrolled in a university programme leading to a formal qualification.
- Applicants who have already graduated may also be considered if they apply within 18 months of completing their qualification.
- Be familiar with commonly used programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of specialised statistical or data-analysis software can be an advantage.
- Have expert knowledge of English.
