About American Kennel Club AKC Photo Contest

The AKC Photo Contest is a photography competition celebrating the relationship between people and dogs through original dog-themed photography.

The contest theme is “The Great Outdoors,” encouraging participants to capture dogs in outdoor environments and creative settings that reflect the spirit of the theme.

Entrants can submit either a physical print or a high-resolution digital photograph, subject to the contest’s format and eligibility requirements.

Benefits of American Kennel Club AKC Photo Contest

The contest will award cash prizes to the top three photographs:

• First Place: $500
• Second Place: $250
• Third Place: $150

The winning photographs will be selected by a panel of judges.

American Kennel Club AKC Photo Contest Requirements

The contest is open to adult legal residents of:

• The 50 United States
• The District of Columbia

Entrants must be:

• At least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, at the time of entry.
• Legal residents of an eligible U.S. location.
• Submitting their own original photograph.

Who Cannot Enter?

Employees of The American Kennel Club, Inc. and its affiliated companies are not eligible.

Immediate family members and members of the employees’ households are also excluded from participation.
