About Austrian Development Agency Individual Projects and Programmes
The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) provides grants for projects that promote global learning, development education, and development communication, aligned with the European Declaration on Global Learning. Funding supports initiatives that connect global challenges to local realities, foster civic engagement, and empower diverse stakeholders, including youth and disadvantaged groups.
Benefits of Austrian Development Agency Individual Projects and Programmes
- Minimum funding: EUR 150,000
- Disbursement in installments: initial two months post-agreement, subsequent upon interim report review, final installment after project completion and accounting review
Austrian Development Agency Individual Projects and Programmes Requirements
- Applicants must demonstrate professional, economic, and organizational capacity
- Projects can start from January 1, 2027 (exceptional cases: Q4 2026)
- Maximum duration: 3 years (5 years in exceptional cases)
- Funding covers up to 90% of project costs; applicants must contribute ≥10% in cash, in-kind, or labor
- Complete budget and financing plan required
Application Date and Process
The funding application consists of
- completed and signed application with description of the content and timetable
- Project budget and financing plan
- Information on the applicant (excerpt from the register of associations, statutes, description of the membership structure or equivalent documents)
- Proof of the applicant's financial situation

The complete funding application signed by the authorized signatory must be submitted by e-mail to [email protected] by 24:00 by 17 May 2026 at the latest. Only funding applications submitted in full and on time can be considered.
