About PRS Legislative Research - LAMP Fellowship

The Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Members of Parliament (MPs) in India for 10-11 months, depending on the Parliamentary calendar. Fellows contribute to legislative research, policy analysis, and constituency-related work while gaining exposure to diverse policy and developmental issues.

PRS Legislative Research - LAMP Fellowship Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the LAMP Fellowship.
• Candidates must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline.
• The degree should be finished before the Fellowship begins, as no leave of absence will be granted to complete any examinations once the Fellowship has commenced.
• This includes individuals holding an Indian passport or those eligible to hold one. Candidates with PIO/OCI cards are not eligible for the Fellowship.
• The Fellowship is open to candidates from diverse academic backgrounds. Previous LAMP Fellows have held Bachelor's or Master’s degrees in fields such as Engineering, Law, Economics, Pure Sciences, Literature, Journalism, Political Science, Commerce, and Architecture.
