Opportunity Details
The Rural Reconstruction Nepal with support from the Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund invites applications from graduate (BSc/Master’s/Equivalent) students for research grants focusing on biodiversity conservation, forest fire management, human-wildlife coexistence, and park-people relations in Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park (SNNP) and its buffer zone communities.
Benefits of Student Research Grant Program
- A total of 2 research grants are available, with each selected project eligible to receive up to NPR 50,000 in financial support. Any tax liabilities will be deducted as per the Government of Nepal’s regulations.
Student Research Grant Program Requirements
- The applicant must be a Nepali citizen.
- Currently enrolled in a BSc or MSc degree program at a recognized university.
- The proposed research must be a requirement for the applicant’s academic degree.
Application Date and Process
- Interested applicants must submit the following documents as a single PDF file:
- Cover Letter (Max. 1 page with research title, proposed supervisor, institution, statement of interest).
- Research Proposal (Proposal format mentioned above)
- Recent CV (Max. 3 pages).
- A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s academic supervisor.
