About MOFA Taiwan Fellowship
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Taiwan) Taiwan Fellowship is a competitive research grant program that enables foreign scholars and experts to conduct in-depth academic research in Taiwan. The fellowship is administered by the Center for Chinese Studies at the National Central Library and supports research aligned with Taiwan’s strategic academic and policy priorities.

Monthly Stipend
- Professors and senior researchers: NT$60,000
- Assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates: NT$50,000
Additional Benefits
- One round-trip economy-class airfare to Taiwan
- Research residency of 3 to 12 months
- Accident and medical insurance coverage up to NT$1 million
MOFA Taiwan Fellowship Requirements
- Recipients shall be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral program students at related departments of overseas universities, or are research fellows at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
