About OSC Grant Program
Operation Santa Claus is a funding initiative designed to support small-to-medium charitable organisations in Hong Kong. It helps organisations respond to evolving community needs and address service gaps. The programme strengthens social impact by empowering agile, locally focused charities.
Benefits of OSC Grant Program
- The maximum funding amount is HK$1 million per project. The funding will be distributed in instalments.
OSC Grant Program Requirements
To maximise the social impact within the underserved communities, OSC prioritises organisations that demonstrate the agility to address community needs through the following eligibility.
- Is a non-profit charitable organisation registered in Hong Kong and exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
- Has a current Certificate of Incorporation.
- Operations and organisational focus are exclusively within Hong Kong
- Not receiving any major subvention allocation from the Social Welfare Department
- Annual expenditure for the previous financial year must not exceed HK$15 million
- The submitted project proposal must not have received any other sources of funding
- To encourage collaboration, applications requesting HK$600,000 or above are highly recommended to include at least two organisations working together. The other organisation(s) can be a charity, social enterprise or private company.
