About The Global Climbing Initiative - Social Impact Grants
The Social Impact Grants program supports community-driven projects that use climbing as a tool to foster inclusion, equity, and social impact. The initiative encourages local climbing organizations to design projects that reflect the needs, priorities, and lived experiences of their communities.
The program prioritizes initiatives that strengthen leadership, expand participation, and create lasting opportunities for climbers who have historically faced barriers to access and representation.

- Grant amount: Up to $1,000 USD in the Social Impact category
- Project leadership: Local climbing organization

The Global Climbing Initiative - Social Impact Grants Requirements
Eligible applicants include:
- Local climbing organizations with demonstrated climbing-related impact.
- Local leaders representing eligible climbing organizations.
Eligible projects must:
- Be related to indoor or outdoor climbing.
- Be community-led.
- Focus on inclusion and community benefit.
- Address barriers to participation.
- Be located outside the continental United States, or
- Be led by an Indigenous community within the United States.
Who Is Not Eligible?
Projects may not qualify if they:
- Are unrelated to climbing.
- Lack community leadership.
- Do not address access, inclusion, or equity.
- Are proposed by organizations without climbing-related experience.
- Are located within the continental United States unless led by an Indigenous community.
