Universiti Malaya (UM) Bright Scholarship is a full scholarship program created to identify and recruit outstanding candidates (citizens and non citizens) from leading educational institutions around the world to pursue a Doctoral Degree(PhD) in research mode at Universiti Malaya(UM)
Benefits of Universiti Malaya Bright Scholarships
- Fee waiver throughout 7 semesters.
- Stipend: RM3,500/month for a period of 42 months.
Universiti Malaya Bright Scholarships Requirements
- The applicant must be no more than 30 years old at the time of application
- A Bachelor's Degree with CGPA of at least 3.70/4.0 or equivalent; and
- Master's Degree by Research; or Master's Degree by Mixed Mode with CGPA of at least 3.70/4.0 or equivalent.
- English Language qualifications: A minimum score of 6.5 for IELTS or 73 for TOEFL or CEFR B2.
- The applicant must not be receiving any sponsorship from any organization or other parties.
Application Date and Process
- Complete the form and attachments required as follows:
- Passport size photo
- Completed application form
- Proof of publication (first page only)
- Copy of Applicant's Identity Card
- Copies of certificates and academic transcripts at the Bachelor's Degree level
- Copies of certificates and academic transcripts at Master's Degree level
- A valid IELTS/TOEFL/CEFR certificate that is no more than 2 years from the date of the examination.
- Save the completed form and attachments in pdf format.
