About Youth Voices for IYD 2025

Aligned with the IYD 2025 theme, Empowering Youth: Building a Resilient Future, the compendium will serve as a repository of knowledge and inspiration for advancing Kenya’s development agenda through youth empowerment.

UNDP Kenya is seeking evidence-based articles that address the following thematic areas:

• Youth leadership in governance and decentralized decision-making processes.
• Contributions of young people to climate resilience and environmental sustainability.
• Innovations and digital transformations driven by Kenyan youth.
• Strategies for enhancing youth engagement in peacebuilding and social justice initiatives.
• Policies and frameworks supporting the realization of Kenya’s demographic dividend.

This is an opportunity for you to showcase the invaluable contributions of Kenya’s youth and foster a shared vision for inclusive and sustainable futures. 

Youth Voices for IYD 2025 Requirements

• Languages: Papers may be submitted inEnglish.
• Word Count: Submissions should not exceed 1,500 words.
• Format: Manuscripts should be written in clear, professional language and adhere to APA citation standards.
• Multimedia: Authors are encouraged to include original photographs, charts, or illustrations to enhance their articles. These must be either original works or sourced under a Creative Commons license.
• Author Details: Submissions must include the author’s full name, contact details, organization affiliation, and job title, if applicable.

Authors are encouraged to attach a brief bio (maximum 100 words) alongside their submissions.

Publication and Distribution
