Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood Grant Program Requirements

  • Grants are only awarded to projects that strictly follow the Foundation’s programmatic guidelines.

  • The Foundation does not fund:

    • Projects outside the U.S.

    • Existing program operations or expansions

    • Capital equipment purchases or renovations

    • One-time events or art/literature creation

    • Projects by individuals or for-profit entities

    • Political or religious organizations or content

    • Medical research applicable to both adults and children

Application Date and Process

  • Two-step process: submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) first, then a Full Proposal if invited.

  • Next LOI deadline: January 31, 2026

  • LOI must follow a specific format and include:

    • Organization details and mission

    • IRS tax-exempt status

    • Budget and grant request amount

    • Project title, description, innovation, and alignment with guidelines
