The Eco Future Grant Programme, funded under the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III), aims to enhance the impact of civil society organizations (CSOs) in addressing climate change and biodiversity protection. The programme will provide CSOs with resources and expertise to develop innovative projects focused on climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based solutions to enhance climate resilience.
The programme aims to create a broad impact by offering CSOs the opportunity to collaborate with local and international stakeholders. It also seeks to enhance civil society’s participation in policy and decision-making processes related to climate change and biodiversity, particularly at the local level.
The overall objective of the Eco Future Grant Programme is to increase the capacity of CSOs to support them in achieving net-zero emissions and nature-positive climate action goals. The specific objective of the Eco Future Grant Programme is to design and operate a technical assistance and grant mechanism in the form of a CSO NGO Grant Programme, including capacity assessment, determination of strategies and priorities, training and initiation of calls, and to direct, support and evaluate sub-grants to increase the capacities of civil total actors.
Funding ranging from USD 50,000 to 150,000 for selected projects.
Projects must last between 12 to 18 months, focusing on climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based solutions.
Partners are required to meet the same eligibility criteria as the applicant.
In addition to the categories under applicants, the following are also eligible:
• International NGOs, particularly those based in the EU
• Municipalities and local governing bodies
• Development agencies
• Unions (producer, professional and central associations, etc.).
• Chambers - industrial and professional chambers
• Public schools
Partners are obligated to sign the mandate and partnership agreement provided in the application forms.
