The Japanese Government Grant Program (GGP) offers small-scale funding for community development projects targeting vulnerable populations. The initiative supports projects in health, education, environment, demining, culture, and sports, emphasizing sustainable, direct impact and completion within one year.

Benefits of Embassy of Japan in Lebanon

• The grant amount per project does not exceed 15 million JPY (roughly up to $96,000)
• N.B. Demining projects have a different funding scheme, which goes beyond the maximum amount of the GGP grant (approximately up to $160,000 ). 

Embassy of Japan in Lebanon Requirements

Eligible recipients include:

• Registered NGOs and civil society organizations

• Private and semi-private schools

• Medical institutions such as hospitals or dispensaries

• Local authorities implementing community-level projects

• Universities, museums, and research institutions for cultural or sports projects, preferably through NGO sponsorship
