About Equity Trustees - Dafydd Lewis Scholarship for Young Men in Australia
The Dafydd Lewis Scholarship aims to reduce educational inequality by helping young men from financially disadvantaged backgrounds access university education.The scholarship provides substantial financial assistance to students who may otherwise face financial barriers to pursuing tertiary study.Multiple scholarships are awarded each year to eligible students enrolling in full-time undergraduate degrees at universities across Victoria.
Benefits of Equity Trustees - Dafydd Lewis Scholarship for Young Men in Australia
Each successful recipient receives:
- $10,000 per year
- Support for three years
- Up to $30,000 total
The multi-year structure provides financial support throughout the duration of the undergraduate degree, subject to the scholarship’s applicable conditions.
Equity Trustees - Dafydd Lewis Scholarship for Young Men in Australia Requirements
- Age: Must be 19 or younger on 1 January 2026 (exceptions for humanitarian visa holders).
- Schooling: At least five consecutive years at a Victorian state school or college (exceptions for humanitarian visa holders).
- Financial need: Applicants must complete a means test.
- University study: Must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at a Victorian university.
- Excluded courses: Arts, Education, Music, and Theology (with limited exceptions for Arts courses leading to postgraduate-only pathways)
