About ESDC Internship in Belgium
ESDC Internship provides students the opportunity to work at the European Security and Defence College, assisting with the organisation and running of ESDC activities and gaining understanding of the EU’s CSDP and CFSP.
The internship is offered by the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), operating under the responsibility of the High Representative and supported by the European External Action Service (EEAS). The ESDC is a network of civilian and military institutes, universities and other organisations.
Benefits of ESDC Internship in Belgium
- Interns will be granted a monthly allowance of EUR 1500.
- If they receive a grant (e.g. from the Erasmus+ programme), the ESDC will reimburse the difference up to the amount of EUR 1500.
- Interns will be reimbursed for expenses in the event of occasional duty trips outside Brussels.
ESDC Internship in Belgium Requirements
- Be nationals of a Member State of the European Union;
- Be currently enrolled in an academic institution/university with a view to obtaining a bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the ESDC’s activities;
- Be enrolled in an academic institution/university for the entire duration of the internship;
- Have insurance that covers sickness and accidents for the entire duration of the internship;
- Have a thorough knowledge of one EU working language (either English or French); a satisfactory knowledge of another language is an asset.
