About FACTOR - Collective Initiatives Program
The Collective Initiatives Program supports initiatives that strengthen Canada’s music industry through collaborative projects that benefit multiple artists, organizations, and music professionals. The programme focuses on industry development by funding events, showcase productions, and festivals that create new business and export opportunities for Canadian music.
Benefits of FACTOR - Collective Initiatives Program
FACTOR will contribute a percentage of the total eligible budget (see below) up to an annual or project maximum. Generally, 50% of the offer is paid when the offer is accepted, and the remainder on final completion.
- Industry events: 50% of total eligible budget up to $200,000 per fiscal year for industry events
- Showcase production for artists from official language minority communities: 75% of total eligible budget up to $100,000.
- Showcase production for export-ready artists: 50% of total eligible budget.
- Festival Support: 50% of the total eligible budget. The amount of funding provided shall be proportionate to the scope, reach, and impact of the project and is subject to the availability of funds.
FACTOR - Collective Initiatives Program Requirements
Eligible applicants include:
- Canadian corporations.
- Canadian associations.
- Canadian non-profit organizations.
Applicants must have an approved applicant profile.
New applicants must:
- Submit a one-page Letter of Intent at least six months before the project start date.
- Receive approval of the Letter of Intent.
- Obtain an approved applicant profile before submitting a full application.
