The FruitGuys Community Fund is a U.S.-based grantmaking initiative that supports small farms and agricultural nonprofits working to improve sustainability, community well-being, and food access.The program is designed to show how modest, targeted funding can create meaningful, long-term improvements in local and regional food systems.
Maximum grant amount: $5,000
Eligible Small Farms
To qualify, farms must:
Be located in the United States
Be 250 acres or less
Have been actively operated for at least two years
Be managed by owners or operators with long-term legal access to the land
Eligible Agricultural Nonprofits
Eligible nonprofits must:
Hold 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
Have been operational for at least three years
Maintain appropriate governance and financial documentation
Reapplication Rules
Applicants may reapply for new or previously submitted projects if not funded
Only one application per farm is allowed per funding cycle

Identify a sustainability-focused project with clear outcomes
Prepare a detailed project description
Develop a realistic budget within the $5,000 limit
Create a timeline ensuring project completion by December
