About Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust Grants

The Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust, established by the Queensland Government, provides funding opportunities to support the social, educational, cultural, and health development of communities in the Gulf region of Queensland.

Benefits of Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust Grants

• Grant amount: Up to AUD $30,000

• Eligible applicants: Broadly defined to include:

  • Community organizations

  • Educational institutions

  • Charitable and religious groups

  • Youth, cultural, and health organizations

  • Other special interest groups

Gulf Area Community Social Development Trust Grants Requirements

Applicant organisations must:

• Be an “eligible organisation”;
• Be capable of efficiently managing the project and all Trust grant funds;
• Have the capacity to keep separate accounting records for reporting purposes;
• Demonstrate it has members with the skills and capacity to carry out the development, implementation and management of the approved project’;
• Ensure that the application is discrete and is not for a project which will be dependent on further funding being made available from the Trust.
