Opportunity Details
The Novo Nordisk Foundation supports research in diverse fields including molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, genetics, microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, biology, and biostatistics. Research may be conducted using animal, cellular, subcellular, or in silico models.
Covers salary (excluding professor-level), PhD tuition, lab consumables, equipment (max 20% of budget), travel, publication costs, and more.
Bench fees and administrative support allowed under specific conditions (not for Danish universities).
No funding for commercial activities, overhead, or double-funded projects.
Targeted at associate professors with independent research groups.
Assistant professors or senior researchers may apply if they meet all criteria.
Applicants must not exceed DKK 4 million in annual grant portfolio at project start.
Research must be conducted in Denmark at a university, hospital, or non-profit institution.
Applicants must contribute to pre-graduate teaching.
Applications must be submitted via NORMA (Novo Nordisk Foundation’s system).
All materials must be in English.

No co-applicants allowed; collaborations must be described but not formalized.
