Opportunity Details
The Habitats and Conservation Grant Programme supports environmental restoration and sustainable fisheries management across Ireland. IFI funds projects that deliver measurable habitat improvements, enhance fish populations, and strengthen conservation outcomes for salmon, sea trout, and other freshwater species.
Funding Streams
Salmon and Sea Trout Rehabilitation, Conservation and Protection Fund (SSTRCPF)
Up to €1,000,000 available.
Supports large-scale rehabilitation and conservation projects.
Open to licence holders, angling clubs, fishery owners, and commercial fishermen.
Midlands Fisheries Fund (MFF)
Total funding: €75,000.
Restricted to the Midlands Fisheries Group permit area.
Focuses on habitat enhancement, angler benefits, research, and fish stock protection.
Applicants must hold a current Midlands permit.
SSTRCPF: licence holders, angling clubs, fishery owners, commercial fishermen.
MFF: only Midlands permit holders.
Applicants must show capacity, governance compliance, and ecological expertise.
