The La Caixa Foundation Doctoral INPhINIT Fellowships 2026 is a fully funded PhD program designed for young researchers from any nationality to pursue doctoral studies in Spain or Portugal. The fellowship supports research in fields like health and life sciences, technology, physics, engineering, and mathematics, and provides financial coverage for salary, research costs, and tuition fees.
€35,800/year for labor costs (salary + social security).
Minimum gross salary: €25,000/year.
€3,500/year for research expenses (conferences, courses, consumables, etc.).
Tuition fees for doctoral program covered.
Open to all nationalities.
Must hold a degree qualifying for PhD enrollment.
Cannot have started a PhD before fellowship.
Less than 4 years of full-time research experience.
Must not have lived/worked in Spain or Portugal for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.
Proof of English proficiency required (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, Duolingo, etc.).
