About Live Here Love Here Small Grants

The Live Here Love Here Small Grants Scheme supports volunteer-led, community-driven projects that improve local environments, enhance shared spaces, and strengthen civic pride across Northern Ireland. The programme funds practical environmental actions that transform underused areas, improve biodiversity, and encourage community participation in maintaining cleaner, greener public spaces. Delivered in partnership with local councils and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, the scheme is designed to empower small community groups to deliver visible environmental improvements at a local level.

Benefits of Live Here Love Here Small Grants

• Grants of £500–£3,000 are available to support environmental improvement projects that make a positive difference in the wider community. 

Live Here Love Here Small Grants Requirements

The scheme supports community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, and unconstituted groups to deliver projects that aim to:

• Increase civic pride and enhance the quality of local green spaces
• Transform underused areas into vibrant, valued community spaces
• Improve community health and wellbeing through the enhancement of public spaces
• Promote environmentally focused actions and boost local biodiversity
