Opportunity Details
The Transformation Cooperation Program aims to strengthen democratic values, human rights, and public participation in Mongolia. Projects should promote civil society development, freedom of expression, electoral integrity, non-discrimination, and environmental rights. The program draws inspiration from the Czech Republic’s democratic transition experience, emphasizing practical support for local initiatives that enhance governance and social transformation.
Minimum Grant: EUR 4,135 (~MNT 85,500,000)
Maximum Grant: EUR 20,000 (~MNT 85,500,000, rounded as applicable)
Project Duration: Up to 8 months
Implementation Start Dates: Between March 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026
Local NGOs registered in Mongolia
Local branches of international NGOs registered in Mongolia
Applicants must ensure that proposed activities align with the Transformation Cooperation Program priorities
Identify a project addressing one or more program priorities (human rights, civil society, media, democracy, equality, environmental rights)
Prepare a project proposal including:
Objectives and expected impact
Detailed activities and timeline
Budget and funding justification
Monitoring and evaluation plan
Submit the proposal to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Mongolia for initial evaluation
Upon embassy approval, proposals will be forwarded to the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs for final authorization
