About Mitacs - Globalink Research Internship
The Globalink Research Internship 2027 is a fully funded 12-week research program in Canada for international undergraduate students. It allows students to conduct research at over 70 universities and research institutions across Canada in fields like science, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. Interns work under the supervision of Canadian faculty members and gain hands-on research experience.

Mitacs - Globalink Research Internship Requirements
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s student from an eligible institution.
- Must be from an eligible country: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Jordan, Mexico, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have one to three remaining semesters as of Fall 2026.
- Must be available for a 12-week internship in Canada.
- Must apply to at least three and no more than seven projects, with selections from at least three different Canadian provinces.
Application Date and Process

- Apply for a minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 projects, ensuring they are from at least 3 different Canadian provinces.
- Complete your application carefully; there is no submit button, so ensure all details are correct before the deadline.
- It is recommended to complete the application at least two working days before the deadline.
- Submit a reference letter from your current supervising professor (not from academic institution staff).
- Save your application before leaving the page.
- Upload required documents: CV (using the Globalink template), official transcript in English or French, personal statement, at least 1 reference letter (following instructions), and a valid passport.
