Onuoha Fellowship was founded five years ago because entrepreneurship felt impossible to navigate alone. The essence of creating something new means there's no defined playbook to follow, and traditional higher education rarely teaches you how to go from zero to one.
Since 2020, their approach has transformed completely. Rather than doing a classroom type approach, their fellows learn fluency in AI tools like Cursor, Replit, Lovable, and are expected to build products, test them in the world, and get feedback.
In the last cohort, two of their fellows from MIT even went off and started a company together.
It has never been more paramount to supplement your college learning with AI. Higher education institutions are notoriously slow to update their curriculum, and within just a few years, landing an entry level role without understanding how to leverage AI will be nearly impossible. This disconnect is why they're seeing students drop out of high school and college at unprecedented rates. A degree alone is no longer enough.
