The Pacific Innovation Hub is a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade International Development Cooperation initiative that partners with New Zealand and Pacific businesses to support innovative commercial initiatives to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) outcomes in the Pacific, aiming to enhance economic resilience by accelerating product, service, and market development while improving productivity within existing industries.
Connections: Engagement Managers link businesses to MFAT programs and networks
Ideas Lab: Co-design process with consultants to refine business ideas through stakeholder interviews and workshops
Viability Gap Fund: Co-funding grants ($5,000–$100,000) for initiatives lacking alternative funding
Open to businesses in all sectors
Eligible countries include: Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Cook Islands, and others receiving Official Development Assistance
