The Queensland Biosecurity Grants Program provides a strategic opportunity for organisations to contribute to the state’s biosecurity resilience. By supporting educational and innovative projects, the program fosters awareness, preparedness, and cutting-edge solutions, ensuring Queensland’s environment, industries, and communities are protected from emerging biosecurity threats.
There are 8 grants of $15,000 each in the education category. These grants are for projects that promote awareness and deliver behaviour change to empower individuals and organisations with the knowledge and skills to effectively support and strengthen Queensland's biosecurity capability.
There are 3 grants of $30,000 each in the innovation category.These grants are for projects that pioneer modern technologies and methodologies or approaches to advance biosecurity practices in Queensland.
Eligible applicants include:
Community not-for-profits, clubs, and associations
Schools and universities
Councils, statutory bodies, and government agencies
Incorporated bodies and associations operating within Queensland
Applicants must demonstrate how their projects contribute to biosecurity protection, education, and innovation.
