About SEARCA Faculty and Student Mobility Grant Program
The SEARCA Student and Faculty Mobility Grant Program is now accepting applications for a limited number of slots open to Southeast Asian individuals interested in conducting research or taking courses for academic credit at selected universities in Southeast Asia.The program is administered by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and aims to strengthen academic collaboration, research capacity, and knowledge exchange across the region.
Benefits of SEARCA Faculty and Student Mobility Grant Program
- One roundtrip airfare to selected host university with stipend for food, lodging, and incidental expenses, among others up to maximum of USD3,500.00.
SEARCA Faculty and Student Mobility Grant Program Requirements
Faculty Mobility Grant
- Open to nationals of SEAMEO member countries (i.e., Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam) who are regular employees of academic institutions; and
- Must not be more than 45 years of age at the time of application
Student Mobility Grant
- Open to nationals of SEAMEO member countries (i.e., Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam);
- Must be enrolled in MS or PhD programs in Southeast Asian universities; and
- Must not be more than 45 years of age at the time of application
Application Date and Process
- Duly accomplished Application Form
- Proposed activities and budgetary requirement
- A letter of confirmation from the host university/institution to supervise the grantee
- Certification or proof of financial support from other sources, if any, and
- For Student Mobility Applicants: endorsement from thesis adviser/supervisor; or for Faculty Mobility Applicants: endorsement from the Dean of the College/Faculty for lecturers/faculty members
