The Blue Food Futures Research Grant Program 2026 is an initiative designed to support early-career researchers and professionals working on the future of aquatic food systems.
$10,000 research funding plus travel support for fieldwork and policy engagement.

Open to early-career researchers, professionals, and practitioners from academia, government, NGOs, and private sector.
Applicants must show interest in:
Blue food pathways & climate/biodiversity goals.
Sustainable, equitable, resilient blue food transitions.
Nutritional and trade implications of small-scale fisheries.
Must have a PhD within the last 5 years or be a PhD candidate close to completion.
Strong communication skills in English; other languages desirable.
Preference for candidates with experience in developing nations.
