Opportunity Details
The Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF) is a global leadership and innovation program by SDSN Youth designed to empower young people to address complex urban challenges. Fellows work directly within their own cities to create practical, community-informed solutions that advance sustainable, inclusive and resilient urban development.

The fellowship is open to individuals aged 18–30 who are passionate about improving the cities they live in. Ideal applicants are:
Early-career professionals, students, or community organizers
Individuals with at least one year of experience in relevant fields (planning, policy, environment, design, mobility, public health, advocacy, etc.)
Leaders who have a clear idea or emerging initiative they want to develop
People who can commit 4–6 hours per week between March and December, 2026
Prepare a clear description of your idea, vision or urban challenge you want to address.
Gather evidence of your academic or professional experience (at least one year).
Ensure you can commit several hours weekly starting March 2026.
Complete the official LPF application form on the SDSN Youth platform.
Highlight your motivation, local context and potential project impact.
Submit before the stated deadline and await confirmation or interview.
