SCAS Human Past Fellowship Programme Requirements

The Human Past Fellowship Programme offers two types of fellowships designed to support scholars at different stages of their academic careers.

Advanced Fellowship

The Advanced Fellowship is intended for established scholars with significant academic achievements and international recognition within their research fields.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree awarded on or before 1 June 2019.
  • Candidates must have at least seven years of postdoctoral research experience at the time of application.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a strong record of original research contributions and scholarly publications.
  • Candidates should be actively engaged in international academic networks and research collaborations.
  • This fellowship targets researchers who are already recognized leaders within their disciplines.

Young Scholar Fellowship

The Young Scholar Fellowship supports promising early-career researchers who are building their academic profiles and contributing innovative research within their fields.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree awarded on or after 2 June 2019.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong independent research achievements at the postdoctoral level.
  • Applicants should have a promising publication record and be engaged in international scholarly discussions.
