Opportunity Details
The Institute for Law & AI’s Summer Research Fellowship (EU Law) 2026 is a paid program designed to bring together graduate law students, professionals, and academics to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, law, and policy, with a strong emphasis on EU Law.
Weekly compensation: €1,000.
Additional €1,000 per week for living costs if working in person at the Cambridge, UK office.
Admission to the Cambridge Forum on Law and AI (Aug 18–23) with travel, accommodation, and meals covered.
Close mentorship, Q&A sessions with experts, and networking opportunities.
Potential for future collaborations, grants, and job openings
Strong understanding of legal principles in EU AI regulation required.
Applicants from all countries welcome, including non-EU trained lawyers.
Prior AI-specific research experience not required.
Must commit to full-time work (June 29 – Sept 4, 2026).
Must attend in-person week in Cambridge (July 6–10).
Valid work authorization needed; visa sponsorship may be supported.
