About The Japan Foundation - Japanese Studies Small Grant Program
The Japan Foundation supports the implementation of programs that implement various aspects related to Japanese studies to encourage promotion, deepen understanding of Japan and encourage collaboration between Japan and Indonesia or Timor-Leste.
Benefits of The Japan Foundation - Japanese Studies Small Grant Program
- The Japan Foundation, Jakarta contribution will be averaged IDR 50,000,000 for each project, but the actual grant amount may be lower or higher than this amount. If requesting a much larger sum than this approximate average, the applicant should be prepared for two eventualities:
(a) the project may be rejected since it is deemed to be beyond the scope of the Japan Foundation, Jakarta to support it; or
(b) the project may be supported but at a much lower level than requested.
The Japan Foundation - Japanese Studies Small Grant Program Requirements
- Applicants shall be non-profit organizations (e.g. universities, non-profit cultural institutions, NGO/NPOs) or professionals or experts located in Indonesia or Timor-Leste.
- Applicants shall cover a part of the cost.
- Projects should be implemented and completed by March 1st, 2027.
- Applicants must agree on the obligations specified in the article.
- Applicants must have a bank account capable of accepting grants from the Japan Foundation, Jakarta. The bank account may also be opened before remittance.
