About The University of Birmingham Global South Fellowship Program for Early-Career Researchers
The Global South Fellowship Program aims to support the professional development of early-career researchers from universities in the Global South.
Benefits of The University of Birmingham Global South Fellowship Program for Early-Career Researchers
- The scheme will provide each visiting fellow with travel expenses of up to £850 and a monthly stipend of £1500 for up to three months to help cover living expenses and accommodation. On campus accommodation can be booked on fellows’ behalf and the cost deducted from the stipend, however there is no guarantee that University accommodation will be available during the fellowship.
- Further information on private accommodation options and support with organising accommodation is available upon request.
The University of Birmingham Global South Fellowship Program for Early-Career Researchers Requirements
- There is no fixed definition of an early-career researcher; the term is relative and varies by discipline and year. However, applicants must have completed a doctorate to be eligible
