About ESCWA Fellowship Programme for Young Arab Professionals
The ESCWA Fellowship Programme is designed to build the next generation of policy professionals by engaging them in applied research, data analysis, and technical cooperation.Fellows work directly with UN experts on initiatives that address economic transformation, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability in ESCWA member States.
Benefits of ESCWA Fellowship Programme for Young Arab Professionals
- Monthly stipend: USD 4,000
- Travel: Round-trip economy class air ticket
- Additional support: Assistance with residence documentation in Lebanon (if required)
- Note: Fellows must arrange their own medical insurance
ESCWA Fellowship Programme for Young Arab Professionals Requirements
- Be a national of an ESCWA member State
- Be 35 years old or younger
- Hold an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in fields such as:
- Economics
- Public policy
- Development studies
- Statistics
- Governance
- Sustainable development
- Have academic or professional experience in:
- Development policy
- Economic or data analysis
- Related priority areas
- Be fluent in English (Arabic preferred)
Preference is given to candidates from least developed countries in the ESCWA region.
