The Open Innovation Challenge is a pivotal initiative designed to enhance agricultural innovation and empower entrepreneurs in Somalia to bring ideas to solve the challenges Somali women farmers face in accessing markets.

IGAD/Gender in close collaboration with the Japan Governement through the project on Empowering women and youth in the IGAD region:Overcoming Barriers to Meaningful Participation Leadership and peace and security, made available small grants to contribute to efforts for women and youth innitiatives working towards promotion of peace and security in in IGAD Member States.
The Grant is aimed to supporting innovative women and youth led initiatives that advance inclusive peace and security solutions with the potential for national and regional impact.
