About College of Europe - European Union Diplomatic Programme for the Enlargement Region

This programme, funded by the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) of the European Commission, has the overall objective to foster regional cooperation among diplomats and/or officials of the enlargement region and their EU peers by creating a unified ‘esprit de corps’ and strengthening their knowledge in EU affairs. The curriculum includes joint activities with the European Union Diplomatic Academy, funded by the European External Action Service (EEAS).

The programme is specifically tailored for:

  • Diplomats
  • Government officials
  • Professionals working in foreign policy or EU accession processes

Eligible applicants must come from countries in the EU enlargement region, including:

  • Albania
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Georgia
  • Kosovo
  • Moldova
  • Montenegro
  • North Macedonia
  • Serbia
  • Ukraine
  • Türkiye

Application Date and Process

Candidates who meet the criteria listed above will need to send the following documents by 10 June 2026 at midnight (CET):

  • CV redacted in English of max. 2 pages highlighting relevant professional experience in the field of EU affairs and/or EU accession
  • Motivation letter (max. 1 page)
  • Written statement signed by their Head of Department/Directorate/Unit stating that the candidature is endorsed
  • Supporting documents, such as university diploma and language certificate (if applicable)
