About Community Foundation for Merseyside - Alice’s WonderDance Foundation Grant Program

Alice’s WonderDance exists to carry forward the vibrant, joyful legacy of Alice Aguiar; a fearless, expressive, and generous dancer who moved through life with rhythm, light, and compassion.Dance is more than movement; it’s freedom, creativity, connection, and joy. The grant fund is available for both community organisations and young people to remove barriers so that every child can access dance, explore their passion, and grow through movement in a safe, empowering space.

Benefits of Community Foundation for Merseyside - Alice’s WonderDance Foundation Grant Program

  • Grants of up to £2,000 are available for Community Organisations and Schools. 

  • Individuals can for up to £250

Community Foundation for Merseyside - Alice’s WonderDance Foundation Grant Program Requirements

Eligible applicants include:

  • Community organisations
  • Charitable organisations
  • Schools
  • Local groups delivering dance-based activities

Applicants must:

  • Operate within the Liverpool City Region
  • Meet governance requirements
  • Demonstrate clear community impact
  • Have at least three unrelated trustees, directors, or management committee members where applicable

Application Date and Process

  • A signed and dated copy of the group’s rules or constitution
  • A list of your current Trustees/Directors/Management Committee members
  • A copy of the group’s latest annual accounts or income/expenditure document – must clearly show your income, expenditure, and reserves.
  • A copy of a recent bank statement for your group
  • A signed and dated copy of the group’s current Safeguarding Policy. All applicants must ensure they hold relevant policies and procedures in place to undertake activities, such as DBS checks and/or a health and safety policy, depending on proposed activity.
